Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run. Harris Middle School Baseball jumped into the lead in the top of the third when Tobin Hathcock doubled, scoring one run, Chasen McMillian singled, scoring two runs, and Logan Luna singled, scoring one run. Hathcock began the game for Harris Middle School Baseball. The starter surrendered six hits and three runs (one earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out nine and walking one. Bryson Parish started on the hill for Cornersville Middle School Bulldogs. The righty surrendered six hits and five runs over four and one-third innings, striking out four and walking one. Mason Carney pitched one and two-thirds innings of shutout ball for Harris Middle School Baseball in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out one and walking none. Leadoff hitter Hathcock led Harris Middle School Baseball with two hits in four at bats. Canyon Todd, Luna, and McMillian each drove in one run for Harris Middle School Baseball. Hathcock, Carney, and McMillian each stole multiple bases for Harris Middle School Baseball. This Thursday, March 12, from 3:30-6:30pm #HarrisMiddleSchool will be hosting a Parent/Teacher Conference night. Parent/Guardians are invited to come speak to the teachers and staff at #HMS about their students, the school, and anything else involving the education of the students in their lives.

#GearUp will be having a Parent Night Informational Meeting from 5-6pm in the HMS Cafeteria. This is for parents/guardians of 7th and 8th grade students to learn more about getting your students ready for high school and beyond.

HMS will also be hosting a Parent University from 6-7pm in the HMS Library to discuss both the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program(TCAP) and End-of-Course(EOC) testing.

Come spend some time talking to the teachers and staff at HMS about the current and future education of the students in your lives and help us to all #SoarAboveTheRest.

This month, the #HarrisMiddleSchool Library is challenging students to #GetCaughtReading! #HMS Students who get "caught" reading by a staff member, outside of class reading time, will get a raffle ticket. Raffle tickets are to be turned in by the end of each day. The more you get caught reading, the more changes you have to win a prize.

25 Days until TCAP Testing begins at #HarrisMiddleSchool. We need all of our #HMS Friends and Family to be getting ready for the big day when testing starts. Start getting into a routine of getting to bed on time and to get a good night's sleep. Getting up on time to be ready for the day, and eating a good breakfast to start your day off right. Be sure you are studying and reviewing for the test. We know you all will do your best and #SoarAboveTheRest!

#HarrisMiddleSchool Softball picked up their first win of the season on Monday, 7-6 over Whitthorne. Zi Nowells helped #HMS win by smashing a 3-run home run during the game. Congratulations to our HMS Softball team on their first win of the season and showing us how to #SoarAboveTheRest.
