School Counselor

It is the responsibility of the counselor to collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents, and students to address the best interest of all students.

 

The standards of our comprehensive school counseling program are mandated by the American School Counseling Association and adopted by the State of Tennessee’s Department of Education.

Through classroom instruction, small group counseling, and/or individual counseling, it is my goal to encourage academic and career development, along with personal and social growth. These lessons will not only help our students during their education tenure, but will help them throughout their lifetimes.

Please understand, visiting the counselor’s office does not necessarily confirm a problem. The school counselor is a resource to all students, parents, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders. Our number one focus is providing a safe learning environment for each student attending Community Middle School.
