Harris Middle School Softball is under new management!

On Tuesday, March 24, the #HarrisMiddleSchool Softball team took the field under the leadership of Emma Norris. Norris, who is an 8th Grade ELA teacher at #HMS, had been working as an assistant coach prior to the start of the week. Norris will be assisted for the rest of the season by HMS Athletic Director, the legendary Chris King.

#HMS Softball played their first game with Coach Norris at the helm against Cascade Middle. In the last game between Cascade and HMS, the Champions defeated the Eaglettes by a score of 18-1. This time, under the watchful eyes of Coach Norris and Coach King, the HMS girls played their hearts out. While they came up short, by a score of 20-16, they showed great improvement not only in the margin of defeat, but also in their overall play. Improvement, not failure, was the story of the night.

The HMS Softball Eaglettes next get their chance to #SoarAboveTheRest on Thursday, March 26 when they travel to face E.A. Cox.
