It's a new month!
Happy February to all of our #HarrisMiddleSchool family.
Here are the breakfast and lunch menus for #HMS for the second month of 2026.
Have a great month and #SoarAboveTheRest.

The MTHSSA Regional Swim Meet was originally scheduled in Nashville but was cancelled due to ongoing recovery efforts in the area and widespread power outages.
We are thankful that Sewanee kindly agreed to host an alternate meet for middle school qualifiers in Middle Tennessee, allowing our athletes the opportunity to compete.
Juliet placed 5th in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 fly. Her 100 fly was a personal best time.
Congratulations Juliet! You have made all of us at #HMS very proud of you. We wish you continued success in all that you do and thank you for showing all of us, even in the water, how to #SoarAboveTheRest.

Our classrooms are spaces where history comes alive. This February, we celebrate Black History Month by honoring the legacy, culture and contributions of black leaders and changemakers, and by uplifting the voices of our #students today.
Together, we will continue building a future rooted in knowledge, equity and respect.

We are proud to support the work of our Youth Leadership Bedford students, who have chosen to lead and organize Bedford Co Cares – A Walk for Junior’s House as part of a service project focused on awareness, compassion and community impact.
This awareness walk is designed to shine a light on the important work of Junior’s House, a child advocacy center that protects, heals and advocates for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Through this effort, funds raised will directly support services for children and families right here in Bedford County — while also helping educate our community about why this work matters.
The walk will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, and is open to students, families, school groups, teams and community partners. Participants are invited to walk together in unity, honor survivors and show visible support for children across our county.
As an added bonus, this walk is a great conditioning opportunity for students and community members preparing for the #CC5K in May, making it a meaningful way to stay active while giving back.
