We’re grateful to #BridgeBedford for meeting with leaders from all six of our middle schools and supporting “Be a Bridge,” a student recognition program celebrating young people who strengthen their schools and communities.

This morning FCA joined the Community flag team for the raising of the flag and to participate in See You at the Pole 2026.
SYAP26 was started in 1990 with 10 students at 1 school. It was just supposed to be a one-time gathering of a student-lead prayer group. It has spread internationally, and millions of people participate annually under the title of See You at the Pole.
We want to thank Dalton D., who is our regular FCA leader who meets with the kids on Wednesday mornings, and Pastor Jimmy West, who is the paster at Edgemont Baptist Church on Fairfield Pike in Shelbyville. He had a word of encouragement, challenge, and prayer with the students and staff this morning. 💜💛

#Students explored celebrations such as Diwali, Chuseok and Gai Jatra, researching the history, customs and meaning behind each holiday before creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations to their classmates. 📚💻
Along the way, they strengthened their English and presentation skills while developing curiosity, understanding and appreciation for different cultures. Their thoughtful questions and connections showed how much can be learned when students explore experiences beyond their own. 🌍

If you use Bedford County Schools’ School Age Care Program (SACP) for childcare, we want to let you know that SACP rates will increase beginning October 19.
We understand that any tuition increase affects families, and this was carefully considered. The cost of operating SACP has increased, including staff pay, food and snacks, supplies, transportation, field trips, and equipment. The updated rates will help us continue providing safe, dependable care from 6 a.m.–6 p.m. before and after school, during school breaks, and throughout the summer - without reducing services or eliminating full-day care.
Families will continue to be charged only for the days their child attends.
