The month of October is sometimes called "Teentober." It pertains to teens and reading.
One way CMS chose to celebrate this is through Reading Sweepstakes. Kids and staff filled out forms about their favorite drink, snack, and a book they have been wanting. Forms were then drawn and people were surprised.
Students and staff were surprised during the school day and some after school. Mr. Brown rolled his speaker behind him playing celebratory music and Dr. Cook had balloons. Together they would come in, surprise the lucky winner and provide them their prizes.
